Month 12 Meeting in Milan

12 Month Meeting in Milan

Our partners met in Milan for our 12 month meeting, it was hosted by our Italian partner Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Our members exchanged and gathered insightful discussions setting the stage for a productive year ahead. Here are some insights about our work from the past months:

Device groups exchanged device data after stressing to physics modelling group identifying the limiting factor in the device and using expertise on photophysics combined with molecular simulations we will attempt to link this from device degradation back to the chemical origin of the degradation. We decided to focus on superstrate devices as our results do not suggested better stability on substrated layouts. We have demonstrated that AZO has comparable device performance on small areas, and further research on this exciting result will be conducted.

Partners worked on upscaling the fabrication methods of perovskite cells for making modules. We achieved very good perovskite film homogeneity and cell efficiency over a 10×10 cm2 area both by sublimation and by the hybrid approach (inorganic template sublimation and slot-die coating of the organohalide solution in alcohols). We are now ready to start fabricating our first project modules. We also developed a glass/glass encapsulation for our cells to withstand the outdoor testing we performed in other work packages.

Highlights from our 12 month meeting and knowledge shared from our partners.
